Canada's first contactless mass transit fare reader, enhancing rider experience by reducing frustration and improving accessibility. Tasked with creating the next-generation Metrolinx fare reader, we focused on accessibility, cost-efficiency, and serviceability by using off-the-shelf components. We collaborated with a contract manufacturer to produce, deploy, and install 10 beta units within eleven months. The result was a cost-effective, easily upgradeable system with a new design language that sets the tone for future products.
"The Drift Collection is a celebration of material and form. Designed by Branch and manufactured by Council, the three pieces are warm and inviting enough to live in the home, while also practical enough to be perfect for office environments. Defined by its iconic joinery and Inspired by the inviting natural forms of drift wood, the new line represents the finest in Californian design and manufacturing."
